Clinical Observation on the Patients with Respiratory Disturbance

Abstract
|
|
|
A clinical observation was done on 180 cases of male and 160 cases of female with the complaints of respiratory disturbance who had been treated at the outpatient department of Seoul National University from April 1983 to March 1984.
The following results were obtained.
1) The complaint of cough only was seen on 18 cases of bronchitis, 8 cases of pulmonary tuberculosis and 2 cases of pleurisy. Sputum only was seen on 26 cases of bronchitis and 11 cases of pulmonary tuberculosis. Cough and sputum were seen on 122 cases of bronchitis, 29 cases of pulmonary tuberculosis, 11 cases of bronchiectasis, 2 cases of lung cancer and 2 cases of pneumonia. The complaints of cough, sputum and dyspnea were seen on 23 cases of bronchitis, 7 cases of pulmonary tuberculosis, 20 cases of bronchial asthma, 2 cases of pleurisy and 3 cases of pulmonary emphysema. The complaints of cough and bloody sputum was seen on 14 cases of bronchitis, 13 cases of pulmonary tuberculosis, 10 cases of bronchiectasis and 3 cases of lung cancer.
2) The complaints of respiratory disturbance were seen on 210 cases of bronchitis, 68 cases of pulmonary tuberculosis, 26 cases of bronchial asthma, 21 cases of bronchiectasis, 5 cases of lung cancer, 4 cases of pleurisy, 3 cases of pulmonary emphysema, 2 cases of pneumonia and 1 case of valvular disease.
